Magic and Malarky
Ron's magic for libraries, preschools, children's birthday parties, and more in Chicago's west and northwest suburbs and northern IllinoisThe Library is Haunted

Once upon a time the ability to read was considered a magical skill. And the power of reading is still magical.
“The Library is Haunted!” emphasizes the magic of reading and ideas. Designed to fit with the 2010 summer reading theme, “Scare Up a Good Book” is still appropriate at any time of the year or for a special Halloween program. The presentation is appropriate for elementary ages, families, and kids of all ages, and enhances values the library is already teaching.
“The Library is Haunted” features Spooky, a baby ghost who hangs out in the circus and exercise/acrobatic sections of the library and wants to do acrobatic tricks for the kids. And he hates to go to bed on time and keeps sneaking back into the show!

The presentation also talks about using one’s imagination when reading and how ideas are linked together. And, of course, where to find books to read and resources to answer our questions – the Library!
Libraries may choose either the Basic Performance (“The Library is Haunted!”) or Wizard’s School (magic lessons and making one’s own magic) or a combined presentation.
